There's something sinister that comes through in the end of this piece. The focus on peace between the races makes it clear that the priority is preventing the kshatriyas from enacting any sort of violence. Violence committed by the dalits or the brahmins against the kshatriyas is merely an unfortunate occurrence that 'should be' suppressed, but isn't as important as the reverse. If this is the fundamental attitude that animates leftism / deep leftism, can't vibe with it.
Your analysis is great until you start to delve into history and historical patterns. You take too many liberties in making sweeping and baseless interpretations that you attempt to pass off as historical fact and laws of nature. For example, Christianity began as a Zealot and Ebonite adjacent movement, not as a movement by Hellenized Jews. Jesus was not a Hellenized Jew from the upper class but a Galillean peasant. Paul was knowledgeable in Greek customs but he came from the Phariseeic tradition which emphasized traditional purity. Overall, there is no evidence that early Jewish Christians were Hellenized Jews. Furthermore, when the torch of Christianity passed from Judea to Greece, it passed to the Greek Gentiles, not to Hellenized Jews in Greece, because Paul preached to the Gentiles, NOT to Hellenized Jews. Another example is your claim that the Indo Europeans utilized slave revolts in neolithic Europe. There is absolutely zero evidence of such revolts anywhere in neolithic Europe, even from Greece and the Italian Peninsula where we have the most archeological remains from neolithic European civilization, much less of the tactical use of such revolts by Indo European invaders.
Hellenistic Jews were an upperclass faction of Jews who consciously and explicitly attempted to merge Jewish and Greek traditions, and they existed in competition with the traditionalists like the Maccabeans. And even though they left lasting influences, it's not appropriate to call all Jews "Hellenized Jews." To Aramaic speaking Jews (Hellenized Jews spoke Koine Greek) these influences were unconscious. Jesus and his apostles had no semblance of Greek identity and therefore couldn't possibly have been attempting to unify their Jewish and non existent Greek identities as they saw themselves as ethnically distinct and even superior.
The entire country was occupied. These distinctions are meaningless, like saying that "Kanye is not Europeanized." This is pedantic and misses the big picture.
Kanye speaks English and identifies as an American, which is a historically White identity, whereas Jesus and his apostles spoke Aramaic and solely identified as Judeans, and were part of a tradition of fierce independence and rebellion. Just because their religion had a few Greek philosophical influences doesn't mean it's appropriate to call them Hellenized Jews. It also had Persian and Babylonian influences. Maybe we should we be calling them Babylonianized-Persianized-Hellinized Jews?
Wokism is NOT harmless! Wokism has made racism cool again.
Wokism celebrates racism -- as long as it is anti-White. While this can be cute virtue signalling in a 90% White country, it is downright dangerous for a minority White country. It is InterNaziism. This has led many younger men to think happy thoughts about Hitler -- which is a very bad thing.
I'm royally pissed off at the Woke because I am living the Martin Luther King Dream. I live in a balanced race neighborhood in the American South. In return for having Black neighbors, I got a huge discount on my home purchase, along with laxer regulations. I can let my cats outside without Karens calling Animal Control. I can paint my mailbox any color I want.
The key to integrating Blacks into society is to put the evil past behind us, not teach them to freak out over microaggressions. We need friendships across racial lines, not chips on shoulders. Mel Brooks, Eddie Murphy, and Richard Pryor have done far more to promote racial harmony than 99% of activists. If you want a lesson in true Antiracism, watch "Undercover Brother."
If putting the bad past behind us requires Reparations, I'm cool with that -- as long as it is one time and reasonable. (It should be based on differences in average inheritance. Those who owned slaves are dead, but yes, the descendants of those who profited from slavery inherited some of that wealth.)
As for BLM, I was protesting the over incarceration of Black men over four decades ago -- even as I told racist jokes. (I went to a balanced race high school. Razzing across racial lines happened in both directions. No problem.) Penal reform is definitely in order! This doesn't mean legalizing/justifying shoplifting, but it does mean keeping things proportional, and recognizing that uppity Black young men can be Good Ole Boys too.
Another egregious example that I missed: Jesus never advocated for a slave revolt against the Romans and there is nothing in the Gospels that can be construed that way.
You're literally just pulling this out of your ass lmao. This is not a mainstream position in New Testament studies, it is a fringe position, nothing more than a conjecture. Martyrdom is a universal concept and ideas about martyrdom existed in Judaism before Greek influence.
Critical New Testament study and is secular. It's entire purpose is to deconstruct the New Testament narrative, and yet the consensus is that your claims are unsupported and nothing more than conjecture.
"All things considered, I think that the net effect of wokeness is positive. Wokeness isn’t the most fair or efficient system, but it prevents whites from rounding up blacks and slaughtering hundreds of them, as occurred 106 years ago."
Wonderful! Now not a day goes by without one of us "Whites" being killed by blacks in a country our ancestors toiled to build. Do the math.
"One could also cite the overrepresentation of Italians in organized crime and the porn industry.... or the success of European colonialism as examples where a group became predominant without any need for a secret conspiracy or malicious intent."
I'd say that both the mob and colonialism took quite some malicious bts plotting and divide and conqueror tactics.
I’m not knowledgeable enough to follow some of your conclusions but I have experience in the entertainment industry and your conclusions there are 100% correct. I was just thinking similar conclusions when watching Kendrick during SB halftime show. What an amazing artist and brilliant lyricist but nobody wants that. He suffered for years trying to inspire people to treat art as a challenge instead of a self-validation complex. But even he could not hold out. He dumbed down his writing, got beefs, started talking about violence even tho he’s so non-violent that a small child might beat him up, and he puts all these obvious, cliche shout outs in his performance to help people stupider than him feel good about having no idea what is going on. It’s a suicide onto itself but at least he finally has the “love” he desired so much. No one will be as transparent psychologically as Kanye but I could see KL following a similar arc (in his own fashion) when he discovers that the ultimate truth of his quest was the societal manifestation of his self-hatred. As much as it would shock people, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to find out that he’s a pedophile himself.
Enjoyable piece, and I think pretty much correct. There’s a bit of downplaying the role of his genuine mental illness not caused by his environment, but clearly that’s within the premise.
I agree strongly with your capitalization of “Bell Hooks” (or E. E. Cummings, to be less political about it), which is pretty uncommon among the left. It’s one of those things where there just isn’t a good essay supporting, since the position has been staked already by right-wingers as a broad “I won’t refer to the snowflakes how they want to be referred to” position. I’d like to see a piece from someone in the reality-based community who’s fine with referring to transwomen with female pronouns but still places limits on things which erode the building blocks of communication or are unjustifiably burdensome. You were asking for essay ideas earlier, and I think this would be a great one.

yes, let your vibes flow elsewhere

The entire nation of Israel was Hellenized.

Babylonianized-Persianized-Hellinized Jew is accurate.

You don't understand Socratic irony.
Since when is Jesus a Socratist? There must have been some kind of revolution in Historical Jesus studies that I haven't heard about lol.
There are clear connections between Plato and Jesus. The martyrdom of Socrates is the basis of the martyrdom of Jesus.
Stop trying to pass off your personal conjecture as undisputed facts.

Funny story: Harley Pasternak was an employee of the Canadian Department of Défense
