The study of personality similarities/difference across study was done by a colleague of mine, using my data set. I'm not sure why he used such a small subset of the data; that is just the way he operates. I have a much larger data set now (over a million cases) that I should examine by country.

As always, an interesting read. While not everything checks out, it always prompts new ideas!

The Chinese have a tradition of wasting soldiers which makes the berserkers look like Brave Sir Robin. During the Korean War they didn't even bother to arm all their soldiers. Unarmed soldiers were to pick up the arms of their fallen comrades .

And then there were the related Vietnamese who piled up their bodies against US fortifications during the Tet Offensive.

Meanwhile, in Africa, the Mahdi's forces charged against British machine guns and died by the thousand.

Allow me to reframe my argument:

1. Uncivilized peoples are remarkably cautious in warfare.

2. Civilized peoples are founded on human sacrifice cults, which also causes these "human wave" tactics you describe.

3. Indo-Europeans were remarkable because they captured the technology of "human sacrifice" as a military strategy while remaining outside of settled life, which allowed them to rapidly expand.

Are there group evolutionary strategies that are not leftism?

Expand full comment
DeepLeftAnalysis🔸's avatar

Traditionalism could be described a group evolutionary strategy where openness is sacrificed in favor of higher fertility and ethnocentrism. Will continue to compare the two strategies in forthcoming articles.

Whites don't view themselves as a group called 'Whites', but they often view themselves as part of a group, e.g. liberals.

Evolution didn’t happen.

It’s so strange how after COVID and now watching transgenderism, no one has gained any historical clarity with atheist science. If there are bad actors now, there were bad actors then (1859). If there are stupid, compromised, biased scientists now (Neil Degrasse Tyson), then there we’re stupid, compromised, biased scientists then. If atheists believe nonsense as it relates to climate change and gender identity, then they can believe nonsense as it relates to “evolution.”

And yet people on the right are still building entire theories around a mechanism that doesn’t even exist.

Silly.

Flat earth too?

Weak.

Humanity hasn’t believed the earth is flat for at least 2500 years. And the only reason we’re talking about a it today is because atheists, seeking to discredit Christians, invented the fiction that Christopher Columbus set sail to prove to the church the earth was round.

So atheists can’t be trusted with science or history.

Do you think high IQ and high GFP are the most important non-nepotistic advantages anyone can have? I tend to think they are based on what I've read; physical attractiveness would be a close third, though.

I haven't researched GFP, but agreeableness is terrible. It is an evil trait and leads to intelligence being used for evil rather than good. (*I am disagreeable)

You wrote this series as a response to the high IQ HBD right, but you haven’t addressed what I believe is there most important point. Political preference, especially in elites is primarily genetic and rightism is the product of selection effect now counteracted by an environment that allows for high mutation load.

The claim “leftism is the cause of civilization” is fundamentally wrong in this view.

War and agriculture created rightism and civilization.

I haven’t seen a specific critique of the ML hypothesis for leftism by Sebastian, but from my calculations, the amount required is within the range he deemed plausible.
