Wednesday Meeting Notes, 5/27
Week 2.
Last week’s notes here.
This is week 2 of the 6:30pm EST Wednesday meeting. Today I am expecting five people to show up, and the meeting will last around 30 minutes. The purpose of this meeting is to be accountable at the highest level -- not obsessing over logistics or material strategies, but exposing the emotions, values, and beliefs that impede or drive me forward. In sharing this process, I hope to be encouraged and to inspire others.
I am hoping that each pairing from last week was able to meet. Over the next five weeks I expect all pairings to be complete. Out of these five pairings, I am hopeful that connections will develop among group members.
Each of us gets 5 minutes to present 2 things:
1. “what I am working on this week”
2. meta-feedback on my articles, either positive or negative.
Then we assign one-on-one pairings for weekend discussions.
Here are the three goals I am working on this week:
Three Goals:
1. I want to affect my audience.
When people read my writing, I want them to feel as if a space of possibility is opening up before them. I want them to feel curious, drawn into this space, stimulated and excited. I want to give them a sense of depth, wonder, contemplation and meditation. I want to fill my readers with the sense of the infinite, like looking up at the night sky, representing eternity, the past and future.
