you have to respect deepleft commitment here; he is doing something almost all men would find psychologically impossible, i see three possible outcomes:

1 - he finds love

2 - he has a nervous breakdown before he reaches 1000

3 - he gets arrested

4 - He undergoes a transformation similar to that of monks who meditate for decades in caves.

good luck

I’m proud of you for undertaking this exposure therapy

I'll be hungrily waiting for remaining 849 approach reports.

You already suck dick at talking to women so, close enough. Step 1), stop telling girls you think they look cute. This works if you are very clearly a man she should be very interested in at first glance. If you need personality to win a woman over, you cannot simply compliment her and expect that to go in your favor. That's not how this works. They are repulsed and or unphased by your thinking they are cute in the same way you would be if a toothless mentally ill hobo gave you a compliment. Worse, actually, because you might be more down to earth than the average woman and have a fairly human interaction if that were to happen. Still, you want nothing to do with hobo at the end of the day. You come from two totally different socioeconomic realities, it will never work. If you understand this you understand exactly how you look and sound to some baddie with big tits who you just called cute.

your unsolicited advice means nothing to me, it just tells me that you are really bothered and should perhaps unsubscribe

CompCat's avatar

I love how you're just out here blogging and think comments are 'unsolicited'. I don't need your permission to just give you advice, and the fact that you can't take it with humility says you will continue masochistically grinding away like a retard instead of actually learning and approaching how to do it right with curiosity. Im not even a hater of yours just mildly shitting on you while actually helping you, and you cry

DeepLeftAnalysis🔸's avatar

I never solicited advice from you. Why give advice to someone who doesn't want it? You seem hostile, not helpful.

CompCat's avatar

The equivalent of "who asked" , aka "im butthurt I don't like what I'm hearing". No one's gonna force you to not spin your wheels in the mud, don't worry.

DeepLeftAnalysis🔸's avatar

You're very mean spirited.

Do I understand you correctly you want to go ooga booga primally figure it out yourself? Or do you not care about results?

Mjau Mjau's avatar

he probably cares about the results, but not exclusively. the aesthetic is pretty clear at this point, it's supposed to be this minimalist encounter with his own desires, fears, weird projections, etc, together with some sort of utopian "what if we could just meet people like primates meet other primates in the jungle" background hope.

being more strategical would therefore to some extent ruin this both as psychological discovery, and as literature.

CompCat's avatar

If he cares about the aesthetic more than actually being happy I cannot relate whatsoever to what he is doing. If that's the case he's just being a clown for his own entertainment(which comes strictly from the engagement of others, which is why he told me to unsubscribe cuz I wasnt directly cheering him on lmao)

Mjau Mjau's avatar

ok, you've just got a wholly different, and quite possibly more functional, personality structure. for me, DLA is extremely relatable. for people like us, I think, ambivalent and/or liminal states constitute the building-blocks of life. differently put: this, probably, is his somewhat twisted way of being enthusiastic about things, and thus his attempt at genuine happiness. being more straight-forward about it all would, presumably, feel contrived and boring.

CompCat's avatar

You're right about wholly different. Dunno about more functional, devil's in the details of what functional means and by whose standards(I don't consider anything status quo or most things humans engage with "functional", and I've felt like an absolute alien my entire life and almost never find relatability in others)

You say bored but I never experience boredom, for instance.

lol I can’t believe you did cold approaches shirtless and pubes-out. This is possibly the most entertaining instalment of your whole quest.

Martin Greenwald, M.D.'s avatar

"Asking out 1,000 girls is surely much more humiliating than having a steady girlfriend." -- depends on the girlfriend.

"shirtless in a pizza shop" Is that even allowed?

It’s Provincetown.

Mjau Mjau's avatar

would it be possible for you to actually try the gay thing at least once?

Aldehydic Scent of Frost's avatar

Oh don’t tell him that, he’ll just crash out and write another article about how afraid he is of gay people

Mjau Mjau's avatar

I sort of think that would be a very good outcome

The proper term is cryptomatriarchy

DayWalger's avatar

Whats crypto about it

CompCat's avatar

Its crypto because at first, you do not see it for what it is, but then with luck and examination and honesty and discernment, it's possible to see it. Not a guarantee since many have died and will die never having seen it, and it only becomes more encrypted with time.

Speaking of unsolicited advice, some lesbians are somewhat bisexual; maybe you give up on them too quickly.

I'm sympathetic re your situation, and approaching 1000 girls will at least get you over any reluctance to approach. But from my own (very limited) experience you might be better off focusing on women who really attract you rather than sheer numbers.

Also these posts are not very interesting vs. your usual fare.

DeepLeftAnalysis🔸's avatar

I think I'd be better off in a number of situations

Stoopify's avatar

This is awesome.

PatrickB's avatar

DLA I’m sorry but you can’t tell people women or men that they’re cute you’re got to warm them up to that else it’s a huge norm violation which is a turn off. I know you’re trying to cold approach, one shot people but like idk does that even work for women and you’re but also a little weird so i don’t think it would work for men neither

DeepLeftAnalysis🔸's avatar

I appreciate your intention but I have a different goal

Cruel Joke's avatar

This one slightly disturbed me

DJ's avatar

Haven't had a chance to read the whole thing yet, but on the first one, I prefer the strategy of complimenting the outfit rather than just a generic "you're cute." Pays off better if it's something colorful or otherwise indicates she has a particular aesthetic for personal style.
