Today I speak with Dr. Nina Power, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the British Philosophical Association. She has written for The Telegraph, The Spectator, The Wire, and The Guardian, and wrote One Dimensional Woman (2009), which has been translated into French, Turkish, German, Italian, Spanish, and Korean.
Despite being well established in liberal academia as a feminist critic of capitalism, in 2019, she became involved libel case after being smeared as a “Nazi.”
Nina and I explore the logic of polarization and the religious tension between humility and humiliation, dogma and exclusion, reconciliation and forgiveness. We investigate how the left has changed since the 1990s, and whether the left or right provide a better hope for the future.
