Dr. Eric Kaufman is a professor of political science at University of Buckingham. He has written several books, including Rise and Fall of Anglo-America (2004), Shall the Religious Inherit the Earth? (2010), Whiteshift (2018), and The Third Awokening: A 12-Point Plan for Rolling Back Progressive Extremism (2024).
We cover demography, identity, fertility, education, ideology, “luxury beliefs,” moral signaling, social status, religion, and the future of the conservative movement. Specifically, we scrutinize Rob Henderson’s claim that “woke” beliefs originate from wealthy people seeking to signal their superiority over the conservative masses. We also also discuss the extent to which the theory of liberal ethno-genesis is plausible.
Dr. Kaufman has made defended cultural white identity, but stops short of embracing the race realism of Nathan Cofnas. Although I disagree with Dr. Kaufman on his prescriptions (centering Thomas Sowell as the foremost authority on race relations), my intention in this interview wasn’t to debate. Rather, I wanted to genuinely understand Dr. Kaufman’s views from the inside of academia and the conservative movement.
Dr. Kaufman’s analysis of Anglo-American identity, religious demography, and white identity is prescient and powerful. Whether you are on the left or right, Dr. Kaufman is someone worth listening to.
