I think I never comment in your posts before, but as a "right-wing" (I don't live in US) my personnal experience with your articles are very good and usefull, the moment to see and listen your (as a left-wing) critiques to your own comrades and the right-wings.
I don't saw your prank article but, I don't really care about many topics there because I think the neo-nazi and conservatives are sucks, in my opinion the jews are not a problem by all community, repeat for all other etnic groups so I don't believe in some "white superiority", especialy I hate the american-english stupid concept of white.
In conclusion, I use your articles as a self analises and improvment (exclusively) in my ideological-political believes as your "oposition" and laught a bit about how your americans liberal (right and left) politics are so funny.
My bet was that you would use the April’s fool excuse to create 3 layers of irony to write earnestly about your life and then come up saying “you see guys I pranked you” but ultimately it is infused with truth.
Good to see you back. Idk how people were taking a dramatic reversal posted on April Fool’s at face value. Lots of wishful thinking. Not like I was 100% sure either, gotta keep em guessing.
Any Jew, particularly Israeli, who commented on your post is probably going to Jewish hell. I may go to Jewish purgatory for writing this comment today.
I also never comment on your posts, and so think I have something worth commenting. I know you may see it as a reduction, but in regards to what you mentioned at the start, I believe the provocative nature of your articles - wether it involves bait and switch or not - is sufficient to explain why right wingers interact with your posts. Naturally, as you intended.
You are fundamentally employing the same mechanisms mainstream algorithms use to increase engagement. You deliberately insert polarizing or provocative remarks, and then act surprised when someone feels or thinks some kind of way in line with extremes. You may see yourself as intellectually or morally superior to them, but let’s not kid ourselves. The bell curve of intelligence decrees that within the wing you dislike are reasonable intellectuals.
The problem? You do not genuinely try to reason. You would rather troll, bait, polarize, and bring out the bad in people, rather than bring out the good. I can tell you what this means to me, but before I do, I think the one article I wrote on here, comparatively short, is worth reading..
It is called “Outrageous”, highlighting the fact that certain forms of media excel in the business of making us outraged.
I consider you literate and critical enough to have the potential of being a force of good on this world, but put simply… play stupid games, win stupid prizes. The demographic you have targeted with your satire and sarcasm are exactly who flocked to the scent of blood. There is no surprise or mystery here.
As for me, I consider myself centrist, I feel and understand the perspectives of polar sides enough to act on them in an uncomfortable and incomplete middle. I believe if you actually reasoned with many people, you will find a great deal of centrism lies within them. You do not bring out the good in those people, and do not bring out the good in me. I engage with your content because even in your satire I see perspectives I otherwise wouldn’t that make me rethink my beliefs and at times self affirm them. Rarely am I given to critical thinking with how readily you downplay the ideas of others, often likening them to extremes so as to distract from their middling nature. Other times, they are extreme, or polar, at which point strong faith and conviction must be warranted, and often times is not unreasonable to express. I strongly believe promiscuous behavior will be detrimental in the long term, on every level. Personal, impersonal, individual, society, micro, macro. I am radical to you. There are empirical studies on this. The reasons to explain such a radicalness are plenty, if you care to understand. If you care to discuss.
If you want to be taken seriously, then be serious. Confront those ideas in honest without hiding behind satire and sarcasm and retorting every remark with “it’s only a joke. It’s all a joke. I’m not serious.”

That was the second April Fool’s Substack post I fell for. Damn

The article got a good few laughs out of me.
Just something to think about.
The only thing I want to know:
Did you actually lose a tooth and look homeless now?
Oh I used ctrl+f this time, so all good I know

You sound mad. I've written a lot of serious stuff; you don't comment on it. You are projecting.
No, I just didn't read all of it. Only read the beginning. Figured I saw enough.
I'll do a full read soon, thanks for taking the time to read my comment
